Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy Boy was on the euthanasia list at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control where he was listed as a two year old male. VSGSR pulled him and within 24 hours he became ill with Parvo. Through the generosity of many people, Buddy Boy was treated for his parvo and will be going to a foster home in a few days to recuperate and then be neutered once he is stronger. He is a smaller dog about 25 lb and all natural. He looks very similar to dogs we have had in the past that we knew were schnoodles. We are guessing that Buddy is also a schnoodle. Because Buddy got parvo we are guessing at his age at being from 8 mo to 18 mo. His teeth were crystal clean when we got him.
We would prefer Buddy not to be in a home with small children. We have no idea of his history. He will not be neutered for a few weeks until we are certain he is healthy again. He will not be available to be adopted for a few weeks. Once he gets to his foster home, we will know more about him.
Buddy Boy is doing beautifully in his foster home. He gets along with all the dogs there and is a happy camper. He will make some lucky person a wonderful pet.
Buddy's adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in Buddy, please email us phxgsrescue@hotmail.com Applications in the immediate area are given preference and you need to be within driving distance to come and pick up a dog. We do not ship our dogs. When you adopt a dog from us and for some reason it doesn't work, the dog must be returned to VSGSR and a full refund is given. Any dog adopted from us at any time comes back to Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue if the adopter can not keep the dog. We are responsible for our dogs for their lifetime. And we hope our adopters are also. Each dog will have been neutered, had full panel blood tests done, been microchipped and up to date on all of hershots. We do prefer that you be within driving distance of Phoenix to adopt one of our dogs. If the adoption doesn't work out for some reason with in the first thirty days, the adoption fee is refunded upon return of the dog. Our contract states that during the life of the dog, should something happen that you can not keep any of our dogs, the dog must be returned to VSGSR. Should a family member wish to adopt the dog, they would be given first priority. We are responsible for our dogs for their entire life. If interested, please email us at phxgsrescue@hotmail.com for more information. Emailing is the best way to contact us as we are all volunteers.
