Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are interested in adopting Sweetie, please go to our website and fill out an online adoption application at www.floridayorkierescue@yahoo.com.
Introducing "Sweetie" - She is 13 years old, 6 lbs, and has almost a full set of teeth which proves she was a well cared for and pampered pet until her owner got sick. Her housekeeper promised to find her to an excellent & loving home... 6 months later Sweetie was found abandoned, walking along the road, emaciated & full of fleas and ticks. Thankfully she still wore the original owner's tags and the Sheriff's Dept. returned her. She was then being offered for free on Craig's List...we feel very fortunate we were able to rescue her... dogs being offered for free on Craig's list often find themselves in big trouble.
Sweetie is aptly named because she is very sweet. She will go on pee wee paper but would much prefer going outside for walks & in the yard for potty breaks. She has a minor "cherry eye" which is a cosmetic defect only & causes no issues. She has an insignificant heart murmur. her chest xray showed a slightly enlarged heart... nothing our Vet was concerned about. she is now on Heart meds (inexpensive). All of her blood work came back excellent. She has cataracts but can see & gets around quite well. She has a beautiful coat of hair which is growing in nicely & is gaining weight now. She just needs a final loving home where she can be loved and pampered. We think she deserves no less considering the abuse she suffered by her last owners.
Adoption Donation: $100.00 (to help defray the cost of her Vet care)
