Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gilda, at one year old, is the quintessential Golden Retriever with her drop-dead gorgeous appearance and a sweet and even temperament, particularly as young she is - still a puppy by retriever standards.
If you want a therapy or visitation dog, Gilda has what it takes to be a working gal. She seems to have the disposition of a service dog. At the vet, she gently and lovingly greeted each person, and broke hearts. She is just the right size, 70 svelte pounds. And, wow! Is she smart! She is in tune to everything going on around her and figures things out in a hurry. With this busy time, she is alert to get into the swing of every activity.
Within hours she had melded into our pack of five, three being dogs. She is an affection diva. Her curiosity led her through our rambling house; and, yes, she will happily be with you wherever you go.
She loves to play for hours with her foster sibling Ollie and has discovered doggie toys and a ball to bounce. Rawhides are cool to nibble on or transfer from place to place. She nuzzles her nose under the snow and then eagerly rolls in, twisty her body as if making her version of snow angels.
Gilda knows how to read other dogs well and is not aggressive, but confident; and will not spook if another dog is snarky with her. She shows discretion on knowing what battles to choose to stand up for herself and the other dogs seem to respect her for that. And she does a cool sit, but is rather vigorous on the leash.
Gilda or "Gilda Puppy" LOVES to be with you in bed…she is not a bed hog. She feels comfortable claiming a spot on a couch or soft chair, but near you. Or she could just be your lap dog.
So far, Gilda is happy with the world and rarely barks. Noisy equipment does not disturb her. She seems to have come from a good background with dog and people socialization. With her being a stray, she is not showing any of the survival tendencies that strays can have.
She was the belle of our large family holiday party that included young children and visiting pups which she delighted in playing with. She is quite the rescue ambassador!
Gilda will thrive and bond with you even more with training - she needs the challenge and should be an easy CGC certification.
