Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*****Courtesy Post - Tank is not with Canine Harmony, he is in a foster home and adoption will be done by his foster home. Canine Harmony is assisting with training and rehabilitation, but Tank is not one of our rescue dogs. All inquiries will be forwarded to his foster home.*****
My name is Tank! I am a 3 year old, 130lb neutered male Rottweiler X English Mastiff. I am a very affectionate boy and love to snooze (especially in the car), watch TV, snuggle and give kisses. But don't be fooled by my bedroom eyes; I am still a young, energetic dog that has rambunctious spurts everyday and I love to run laps in the yard, chase ball and go for hikes. However, what I don't like is that big scary crate, in fact, I get overwhelmed with anxiety when I'm put in there so it is much better to leave me loose in the house. I promise I'm a good boy; I only chew on my Kong or bone, I am housebroken and I know basic commands.
Although I love children and cats, I admit that I can get overly excited when I play. Especially when I see little ones run, I just want to jump + run too and I can forget my size and my manners, so I'm best suited for a forever home with no small children, although a confident or dog-savvy cat would be ok. My foster mom says I wasn't socialized with other dogs in my previous life, so now I feel unsure and stressed out around new dogs and as result, I can act confrontational and unfriendly towards them. However, while in foster care, I am meeting more and more dogs and slowly learning how to say hello. I will need an experienced owner who will be dedicated to keeping up my training and introducing me to other dogs in a calm and safe manner.
I'm just hoping for a chance. Won't you consider me?
