Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 11/25/2012: Lucky here! I finally got to my Foster Mom's place in Jacksonville and I'm settling in nicely. My FM tells me how impressed she is with my potty training skills and my overall manners. I love when she takes me for walks, and I'm learning to play with toys...I'm also slowly getting used to my new fur sister Fuzz (she's a cat!). There are ton's of nice people and other pups in my new digs and I love meeting all of them....ya see, even though I've had a rough couple of months, I couldn't be a happier pup. I will play and cuddle with you all day if you let me. My skin is healing slowly and I love all my new stylish t-shifts I get to wear right now...especially in this chilly Jacksonville weather! If you're looking for a sweet, easy-going handsome pup, then I'm the guy for you! Ta-ta for now!
Initial bio 11/16/12: UPDATED BIO 11/16/2012: Lucky is an unfortunate 3 year old 10 lb yorkie/silky boy who should weigh closer to 11 lb. He is currently being fostered in Miami, FL, but this weekend, Tim from Pilots N Paws is flying him to Jacksonville where he will continue getting better. Lucky, as most of you know, was found as a stray in a neighborhood where he had likely (as per the vet) been intentionally chemically burned. These pictures are from 11/15-16, two weeks after his rescue. While they are healing remarkably well, he is still a long way from recovery. He still needs to be neutered and have his 2 fractured canine teeth removed (we are hoping it is not yet another result of abuse).
In any case, Lucky went to the vet yesterday for an antibiotic injection and hydrotherapy to remove as much of the dead tissue as possible. Everyone was quite pleased with his results. Lucky can now wear clothes. We put on a clean shirt every day to protect his wound from the outside world . He continues to wear a cone to protect himself from licking at his wounds. Some areas have grown hair. Some probably never will. He is sweet. It takes a little bit to gain his trust, but once you do, he lets go and relaxes in your arms. He isn't neutered yet and is marking a bit, but he's new to his current foster home. Plus, he will improve quite a bit once he is neutered. He is smart and is catching on already. He likes other dogs. We're not sure about cats yet. :)
Thanks for reading about this sweet boy and all he's endured in his search for his FURever family.
