Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rosco is a 7 year old fawn Mastiff returned to SSMR after being adopted in 2011.
Rosco is one of those devoted and tolerant mastiffs who loves and trusts everyone in spite of the fact that he’s been betrayed by his people when he needed them the most. Rosco was abandoned in a shelter in AL in 2011. Shortly after SSMR took him in, an orthopedic evaluation revealed bi-lateral anterior cruciate ligament tears. The Mastiff community came together to give Rosco another chance and fund both of his surgeries.
Rosco was adopted in early 2012 only to be returned in late 2012. Rosco developed severe arthritis in one of his knees after his surgeries. It is suspected that he was allowed to be too active too soon after surgery. Rosco will now forever require pain management (NSAIDs).
Rosco’s journey has not been easy, but now he’s looking for his permanent retirement home. If you want to hear more about Rosco contact Mike at mike.blouin@gmail.com. If you can’t adopt, but you want to help this guy please donate to SSMR (note Rosco) to help with his current medical bills and further orthopedic evaluation.
