Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blue – The Red Dachshund
Blue is a very handsome, longhair neutered red sable Dachshund male, approximately 8-9 years old. Blue’s previous owner passed away, and he was turned into a shelter because the family didn’t want to keep him. Dachshund Rescue pulled him from the shelter and placed him in a loving foster home. His foster Mom gave him a much-needed shampoo, brushing and a trim and sent him off to the Vet for a dental. Blue has his own guardian angel that donated money to pay the full cost of his blood tests, x-rays and the dental. We are all very appreciative of this generous Dachshund lover who made it possible for Blue leave the shelter rather than be PTS there. Blue is a joy to have in our home. Blue came to us overweight by a few pounds, and now he is on a reduced intake and exercise regime and is starting to lose weight. He now weighs 18 pounds but should weigh about 15 or 16 pounds. We can tell that Blue is very, very happy to be in his foster home with his foster family, and out of that shelter. He is a perky and happy older Dachshund boy. He loves to be held on your lap and get stroked and scratched behind the ears and loves to give lots of kisses. Blue especially likes belly-rubs on the floor, and afterwards he will sometimes be so excited that he runs all around. He has a lovely, smooth and shiny red longhair coat, and a magnificent tail. Blue might be a bit hard of hearing, but this doesn’t seem to slow him down. He will do best with a family who can give him the attention and exercise that he needs to recover his boyish figure. We hope you have a place in your home and heart for this really great Dachshund.
