Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAGE, approx. 10 y/o male Weimaraner. This wonderful boy has been with his human companion since he was 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, Sage’s mom was forced to move to an apartment, which was not an ideal living arrangement for him. Sage is a great dog - a really easy keeper!! He is amazing with children, other dogs, and even cats! Sage has been around children as young as 5 years old and tolerates them beautifully. Off leash, he runs over to say "hi" to other dogs, but then moves along. He may bark or whine at other dogs when on a leash in order to go visit, but he never barks or growls once he is allowed to sniff them. In the foster home, the cat runs by, sits next to him, and Sage doesn't even acknowledge her. He loves to go with his humans in the car. He also enjoys walking and has great recall off leash. His former owners apprised the foster parents of Sage's commands. If those specific commands are used, he strolls along just fine while on leash. In the home, Sage barks with a deep voice when someone knocks on the door, but stops barking once he meets "the intruder." He can be left at home alone, napping and waiting for his humans to return home. However, he will sneak up onto the couch the minute he is alone. Like most Weims, Sage will get into the trash can or steal food that is left out. Sage is undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. He is otherwise healthy and we anticipate that he will tolerate his treatment well! Currently fostered in Rocklin.
