Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HURLEY, 4.5 y/o female Weimaraner. This girl was set for life with her human companions, until they separated. Her human Mom tried to keep her two Weim girls, but with working full time, going back to school, and living alone, she could not give them what they needed. When Hurley's Mom talked about her, every word is complimentary; loving, sweet, funny, easy ... Hurley's favorite pass-time in the world is playing Fetch! She will keep herself in shape playing this game if your arm can take it! She also loves to cuddle with her people and to just be part of the family. Hurley's only issue is she gets very absorbed in her relationship with her people, and does not want to share them with other dogs; she will go after other dogs she feels are threatening this bond. Therefore, we are looking for a special home for this wonderful girl, where she is an only dog. She is moving to a rehabilitation center where there are dogs and humans everywhere, and we hope to build her confidence and change her behavior. In time, we expect her to be okay at the dog park with other dogs, but do not expect to find her a home with another dog where she can fully relax with confidence that her bond with her human is not in danger. Hurley enjoys getting out and getting exercise, and will swim at the beach or a lake. She enjoys going on hikes or along for runs, and has very good recall (comes to a whistle.) She does have a prey drive, so no cats! Hurley will steal food that is left out, even if tucked into the corner of the kitchen counter; this is ironic because she needs a high fiber diet and should avoid most human foods (she says not!) Her food is purchased at the vet's office, but any high quality food intended for dogs needing high fiber will meet her dietary needs. Hurley is current on rabies and spayed. In San Bruno.
