Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
WBRP SHELTER, PORT ALLEN, LA 225-336-2428
I love Tex! The first thing you will notice when you meet Tex is that he will extend his paw out to you, to let you know he means you no harm, then he may roll on his back and show you his belly, then he may do the caterpillar crawl awhile. Yes, Tex is a little unsure of his surroundings. But after spending some time with him outside, he was actually giving me big bear hugs and was just so glad to be outside. Tex is a beautiful Australian Shepherd mix, with long flowing hair. Tex was owner surrendered and is ready to go to a forever home. Preferably one without young kids that will rush at him because that spooks Tex. I spent quite a bit of time with him, roughhousing and playing and I saw no aggression in him at all. Quite the opposite, he is one of the most passive dogs we have at the shelter. Tex weighs 65 lbs and is around 3 years old. He will be getting NEUTERED next week, so he will be ready to go. He needs some leash training, he again just caterpillars around when on a leash but he walks fine next to you without one. He is a great dog and will make a great pet for someone who doesn't have small children .
