Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Asahi (ah-sah-hee), which means "morning sun" in Japanese is a 1 year old Red male Shiba Inu mix who was pulled from a high kill shelter in Kansas in late October. We weren't given a background on him so we have no idea if he was surrendered or found as a stray.
Asahi is doing great with potty training and is good with other dogs, cats and kids. He does have some resource guarding when it comes to high value items like bully sticks between him and the resident dog that he's living with but he is already improving with that. He enjoys playing with other dogs and cuddling with his humans.
Asahi is working on crate training and may whine a bit when he first goes inside but he is improving daily. His foster dad lives in an apartment and hasn't had any issues as far as noise goes. Asahi is fed in his crate to associate possitive things with going in the crate. He is also good with chain link fencing and makes no attempts to escape.
Asahi's adoption fee is $300.00 as we believe he may be mixed with something, possibly a little Chihuahua but don't think he's a 50/50 mix compared to the others we've had in the past. He's mostly Shiba. His adoption fee includes his neuter, distemper and rabies vaccination, deworming, microchip and a training course.
