Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sam our beautiful Brittany that we adopted from a PA shelter. He is completely and totally housebroken and is a great watchdog. He knows how to sit, stay, and speak. He loves to play fetch, go for walks, and go for a ride. Just saying those words will send him into frenzy!!! He loves to chase squirrels and rabbits. It’s funny because he sneaks up on them like a cat. He hasn’t caught one yet, and even if he did I doubt he would hurt it, he would just want to play!
Sam has a very bubbly personality, and he loves to shall I say voice his opinion. He is a dog that has a lot of energy and needs room to run. However, he is a housedog, and is used to sleeping indoors. He has never been kept outside in a pen or a doghouse. When you come home he makes it very well know that he is happy to see you. He loves attention. If one of us is on the couch, he will come up and lay with his head on our lap. I do want to warn you that he is a bed hog. Sometimes my husband gets home late from work and Sam is on his side of the bed instead of at the bottom. He moves, but not with out letting Charlie know he was comfortable where he was.
We have had Sam for about 5 years. He is about 7 or 8 years old. When we got him it was only my husband and my self. We have since had a beautiful baby girl, and I also got a new job. My husband is gone about 12 hours a day and I am gone 10. They baby is now 7 months old and requires all our attention, especially since she is starting to crawl around. Our home is very small, and unfortunately it is not working out so well for Sam. He ends up getting yelled at when he gets excited because I am afraid he will step on the baby. It is not fair to him that he is not getting the attention he deserves. It’s hard to take him for walk and rides when most of the time it is me alone with the baby. His shedding has also become a problem.
It breaks our hearts to let him go, but we feel this is the best thing for Sam. We just want to find someone that can give him a good home, and give him the love and attention that he deserves.
