Here's what the humans have to say about me:
November 20, 2012
Einstein came to us in October, and there was no doubt from the very moment we met that he was an amazing companion dog. He is such a sweetheart, not a negative, aggressive or mean bone in this dog's body. Einstein is mostly after one thing, and that's your love and attention.
When I brought Einstein home, I brought him to my backyard with my Bandit to play and acclimate him to our house. First of all, he didn't really need to adjust, he immediately became a part of the home and our family. Second, unlike our Bandit who's obsessed with working (i.e. playing), Einstein just wanted to be pet. He followed me around, sat down really close, gazed into my eyes and made this hilarious honking noise—it sounds like a begging goose. A couple of times I tried throwing the ball his way, and it didn't phase him, other than hitting him smack in the face.
Einstein has come a long way since then. He is still the loving and sweet companion he was the day we met, but he's definitely discovered that he's not only a dog that loves to play, but that he's a border collie that loves to work. After about 2 weeks he learned how to do the border collie crouch and was quickly intensely giving the ball the "eye" when it was play time. Einstein has also become a great catcher!
Einstein is an older boy, but he has a ton of spirit and energy still left in him. He's ready to go when you are, and really turns up the heat when the ball is soaring through the air and he's chasing Bandit around. He's increasingly becoming more agile and fast. He's all around such an amazing dog, he's amazingly sweet with every dog, adult, and child he meets. He's gentle and kind, and is always ready to play or just get a hug and a pet. Einstein also LOVES the water. We found his favorite thing to do is find a stream to lay down in and get a fresh drink after a long trail walk.
Einstein is being fostered in Michigan.
