Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wow. Where do I start. My family gave me up and dropped me off at this scary loud place. I was not there very long. A nice man came in to get me and started calling me Telly. I guess I look like Telly the Monster from Sesame Street. I kind of big but I am 100% golden - I will sit on your feet for attention and give you the golden nudge! I am kind of a monster at 122 pounds. The doctor told me that I seemed healthy except my dark red coat is missing in some places - well, truth be told, I scratched it off because it was really itchy. My ears hurt too but they gave me medicine for that I feel much better now. I am 7 years old and I really like children - they make me wiggle and I just want them to play with me. I also like 4-legged friends too. I did have a "seizure" at that scary place but the doctor said everything checked out ok (they stuck a needle in my arm, ouch). But I feel ok, I just want a new family that will take better care of me so I don't itch anymore and I don't have to worry about going to anymore scary places. I promise, you will love me.

NOTE: Adopt A Golden Knoxville rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in your area. These dogs are fostered in private homes in East Tennessee. Therefore, it is not possible to meet the dogs and pups prior to their adoption. They are brought up north on a USDA transporter.
