Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lucky, don't let his name fool you because his past year hasn't been quite so lucky! BUT, with the right loving home I'm sure we can get Lucky to believe in the 4-leaf clover again!
Lucky came in to rescue not by his own fault but due to the terminal illness of one of his caretakers, which left the other caretaker totally overwhelmed. When there wasn't any family or friends that could step up and help Lucky he was taken to the shelter. Luckily for Lucky a Secluded Hearts Rescue volunteer found him and fell in love with this big gentle dog so he was saved.
That's when things took another bad turn, he was being fostered in a home that wasn't taking care of him the way he needed to be taken care of and so he found himself being boarded while Secluded Hearts Rescue tried to find him a permanent home. After being boarded for too long and his time in the kennel having to come to an end a massive plea was sent to contacts far and wide and that's when Second Hope Rescue came in to try to bring some more luck to Lucky.
Lucky is a very special dog, gentle doesn't even begin to describe this guy. Take a look into those loving eyes and you can't help but to drown in them and recognize someone that is just looking for that special home that will love him as much as he wants to love them.
Lucky has a deformed jaw which causes his tongue to hang out the side of his mouth, but he still manages to eat and drink just fine and it sure doesn't affect his loving heart either! Lucky has to take daily thyroid medication as well.
If you have a home that has a "big" empty spot, take a chance on loving Lucky the rest of his life, if you aren't looking for someone that always wants to take a walk (especially w/summer on it's way), Lucky is the guy for you, just a little walk and he takes care of his business and is ready to be back inside with you.
Money can't buy happiness, but a big open heart willing to give Second Hope to Lucky would truly be "priceless".
Lucky has been in foster care for a quite a little while and even though he's being loved and cared for he would surely bloom in a home of his own, one that knows and understands the needs of the Leo!
