Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ALFIE is a very mellow and shy boy. His breed is completely unknown to us, any ideas? We'd love to hear what you think he might be mixed with! He's a medium size dog and probably around 2 years old.
Alfie came to us from an AWFUL hoarding situation in the desert, probably a rescue gone wrong. This poor guy lived with numerous other dogs and had little to no human interaction. He was very underweight and ill when he was rescued; he had a parasite that is normally only found in the desert and usually manifests in cattle. Alfie made a full recovery from the parasite and is completely healthy now.
Here's what Alfie's foster mom says about him: "Even though he is still shy, he has come a long way and is so ready to find a loving forever home so he can settle in and really relax! Alfie is super sweet and gentle...he loves all the dogs he has met. He is great with kitties too! Alfie enjoys playing with the other dogs and feels most comfortable in his favorite chair or his crate. He's a very quiet guy and enjoys hanging out and observing his surroundings."
We are really hoping there is a special person for Alfie out there somewhere; he's very easy but really needs someone that can break him out of his shell. Alfie would love to have the company of another dog, we think it might help him open up and become more of a people dog.
Adoption fees range from $200-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.
We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
