Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bio Update 04/23/13: DeeDee is ready for adoption today to a local person because she has to go back to the vet in the middle of May for her final checkup. If you aren't local than she will be available to adopt the middle of May. She is doing great and getting around very well. You wouldn't think this little girl would be this happy given all that she has been thru but she is an absolute sweetheart. DeeDee is house trained and crate trained. She needs to go to a home with no children or older children and no big dogs due to the fact she is only 7 pounds and now that she is active again she will loose what she has gained during her recovery time and be about 6 pounds or so. If you are looking for a loving companion and a great dog then DeeDee is your girl. She doesn't bark and gets along great with other dogs. You can't ask for a better dog. Even though she is roughly seven years old and healthy as a horse this little girl has a lot of life left in her.
Bio Update 1/30/13: DeeDee is still healing very well from her surgery on her back right leg and is scheduled for her surgery on her left back leg on 2-11. She is such a wonderful dog and with everything she has gone thru, she is always happy no matter what. She has to mainly be kenneled so she doesn't hurt her leg but she really doesn't mind it. She has put on a little weight with her kennel restrictions but that's just more of her to love. She just had her first hair cut and did very well with it. She is house and crate trained and does well with other dogs but do to her size she needs a home with no children.
Bio Update 12/21/12: DeeDee had knee surgery today 12-21 on her right back knee for a luxating patella. She was supposed to have double knee surgery but once the doctor got to her left knee she saw that it was going to need surgery by a specialist. She is recovering and will need about 8 to 10 weeks to recover if not more. We are going to get her into the specialist in the next few weeks to see about getting her other knee done soon. She is such a sweet little girl and has had a rough time but we hope that soon she will be ready to go to her forever home. In the meantime her foster mom will be doing physical therapy every day and spoiling her rotten.
Initial Bio 11/13/12: DeeDee is a sweet 7 year old 5 pound little yorkie that was rescued from a puppy mill in Indiana. She is just the sweetest thing you will ever meet. She will follow you around because she just wants you to hold her and love her. She has a little bit of a limp in her walk and has very little teeth so she will need to eat mostly soft food. She is so little and fragile she will do better with someone older or no children. She is crate trained and we are still working on house training but she is doing great for only being in our home 3 days. She might be an older dog but she still has a lot of love to give!
