The Humane Society of West Alabama's Home for the Holidays campaign aims to have as many homeless pets home by the end of December as possible! During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40!

This beautiful girl is Paloma, a beautiful colored female Brown Tabby adult. She's approximately 2-3 years old. Paloma is a demure, laid-back girl. She'd be an excellent companion for someone, but would also do well with someone who works during the day - she can be an independent girl. She'd be fine, just as long as she can have good opportunities to bond with you and spend some companionship time at some point in the day. Paloma can be a bit nosy and sometimes a tad bit opinionated - if she decides an empty box should become her new pet bed, the argument is already over before it began!
Paloma could do well with young children if the children can understand how opinionated cats give signals to let them know when they do and don't want to be petted. Paloma is polite enough to give fair warning if something has upset her and she doesn't want to be petted. She does well with other cats who aren't particularly dominant, and could possibly do okay around smaller dogs if she's given some time for adjustment to the idea. Paloma would love to curl up with you on the sofa to watch tv or while you're reading. She doesn't ask for attention too often, though she does love it! Paloma is just a well-mannered young lady looking to practice her near-perfect etiquette in your family!! Contact us or visit our cat adoption center to meet Paloma!
