The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments.
Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the pet or asking questions first. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at humaneswa@yahoo.com!

The Humane Society of West Alabama's Home for the Holidays campaign aims to have as many homeless pets home by the end of December as possible! During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40!

This very handsome spotted boy is Bengal, a male light brown tabby with a light dusting of darker brown spots, a lot like a Bengal (just not nearly as big as domestic Bengal house cats) or Tortoiseshell spots. He does have that perfect trademark tabby M on his forehead, and his dark spots are a little bit lighter than we usually see.

Bengal is an older kitten, or "teenage" kitty, at approximately 10-11 months of age. Bengal is a sweet, gentle young man with a little bit of kitten energy left in him. He likes toys, though he isn't nearly as rambunctious as younger kittens. But he is usually perfectly content to cuddle up in your lap or beside you. Bengal does well with other cats, and has more of a passive disposition. He hasn't been around dogs before, so we aren't yet sure how well he'd do around a dog in a new home. Contact us or visit our cat adoption center to meet Bengal!
