Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bio Update 6/4/13: Hi Everyone it's me Simon!! I have some sad news my adoption fell through so I'm back on the market. I sure would love to find my furever home!! My foster mom says I'm just too cute for words. I've been doing water therapy four times a week but I just can't get my back legs to strengthen up, but I have my cart to wheel around in. I keep up just fine with my fur brothers and sister and I love to be outside playing ball and sunbathing. I have no control of my pee-pee or poo-poo so if your looking for a potty trained doggie I'm sorry, I'm not it. One thing I do have is a big heart, beautiful eyes and an out going personality so if you’re looking for that, please fill out an application online for me.
Bio Update1/9/13 : Simon has come such a long way since we rescued him. He is stronger and more confident now. Simon received his cart and moves around the house at about 80 mph…no stopping him. It’s unbelievable how much he loves to be in it. He runs and plays with his foster fur brothers and sister and 99% of the time he gets the ball before the others. We work with him nightly on his back legs and have noticed that he does have feeling in his back legs and is trying to stand on them more and more. He is one of the most loving foster dogs we have ever had. He is definitely a cuddle bunny!! We do have to express his bladder and stimulate him for bowel movements and he does wear a belly band and diaper daily.
Initial Bio 11/9/12: Simon is at home now and settling in just fine. He is not using his back legs at this time but does have strength in them so this makes us hopeful. We are not sure as to how his condition happened. We have been massaging and working his legs every night and as soon as his stitches come out we will work on water therapy in the bathtub. He wants to be a normal dog so badly. He scoots all over the house using his two front legs so mobility for this little one is not an issue. Other than his legs he is perfectly healthy. He gets along great with other dogs and cats but we discovered last night when our little neighbor girl came over he DOES NOT care for children. It is going to take dedication and work on his back half but I truly believe we can get some strength back. His personality is very sweet and loves to be held and loved on. Thank you Ginger Lead for sending SImon the new Mini Ginger Lead we will be using it daily!!
