Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bailey is an 11 year old yellow female. She weighs 64 lbs which is a good weight for her. She is good with submissive dogs and might be best as only dog. Knows commands, good on leash. House trained, can be left alone for up to 8 hours. Bailey likes people, and is a friendly affectionate dog. Approved for kids 10 and up.
Update from foster home (12/03): Bailey just loves to be loved! She loves car rides and she walks well on the leash. She tolerated her bath nicely. She has a great bit of pep to her walk and can easily do a couple miles! She does the front steps into our house easily as well. She is not crazy about wood floors but she'll walk on them if she has to. She takes treats very gently and nibbles at her food when she wants to. We are in a two story home and the stairs are wood so she stays downstairs. She doesn't mind. She sleeps all night in her bed without a peep. She knows her commands and she is a very good listener. She has been barking a little bit when we leave but settles in. She is a wonderful, loving & easy-going companion!
Update from foster home (11/27): Bailey certainly doesn't believe her age. She seems to think she is still 6 or 7, running after her tennis balls and playing with her toys. She is a very sweet girl and is a lovely companion. Bailey loves going into the water, chewing up toys, playing fetch and absorbing all of the love in the room. She has the gentle, kind face of an older dog, but the spunk of a younger lab. This lovely girl adores attention and will always be by your side. Bailey is what I like to call a "shadow", following you from room to room. She loves to go on walks and can keep up easily. That said, Bailey really loves to nap! She does not do well on hardwood floors but does well on carpet and carpeted stairs. Bailey has great house manners and she does not need to be crated. Bailey is an absolute love and everyone who meets her falls in love. She is best suited to being the only dog in the household.
Update from foster home (11/26): Bailey is doing great. She is such a sweet girl. She went down to the beach with me and loved the ocean. She is very affectionate and enjoys meeting new people and quickly charms everyone she meets. She does not like to share her toys with other dogs and is likely best suited to being a solo dog. She is a very sweet dog and loves human attention.
Update from foster home (11/20): Bailey is beyond sweet. She loves to be in whatever room you are in, has the lab-lean, and is always wagging her tail. She slept all through the night and politely let’s you know when she needs to go out. Bailey prefers carpeted areas to hardwood. She prefers well mannered dog companions who are not in her face. She quickly established her space and need for respect with my young male and they have been getting along very well ever since. They are always sleeping next to each other and she even tries to play with him now and again.
Bailey loves going on walks and can keep up very well with my young one. She is certainly still full of spunk. She is very food motivated and loves her meal times. Bailey is very friendly with strangers and only barks when someone knocks on the door; otherwise, she is very quiet. She is an absolute love and sweet girl. Bailey also knows several commands; sit, down, no, come, paw and is very smart and respectful of my requests. She does not need to be crated and enjoys being left to roam the house with my dog. My roommates love her and enjoy her sweet attention.
