Hello folks! My name is Scooby, a mature and handsome senior gentleman looking for a fur-ever home to settle down in! Have you heard of a "golden oldie"?! Well that's ME and I'm looking for a place to live out my golden years in style! Let me tell you a little about my story first. The people I used to live with gave up on me and abandoned me at the county shelter. I don't know why that happened because I always tried to be a good boy! My hip had been dislocated for quite some time, causing me pain and my teeth were in real bad shape. I was scheduled to be euthanized because of my medical problems, but luckily the wonderful people at M.A.I.N. stepped in to save me! I have been receiving treatment in a loving foster home; my teeth are all fixed up after surgery and my hip is feeling much better. In fact, I get around pretty good for a senior guy-us Cattle Dogs are known for being a pretty energetic breed! Don't worry though- if you're looking for a more mellow companion, you've found your guy. I am house-trained and a "very good boy" my foster mom says! My favorite part of the day is when my foster family wakes up and gives me belly rubs! Perhaps you're looking for a buddy to keep you warm at night? I'd be happy to sleep next to you but I must warn you, my foster mom says I DO snore a bit! I'm full of love, but sometimes I'm not so sure I want to share all my love with a doggy sibling- a careful intro and meet and greet will be required with other dogs in the house. Being a senior, I've got some wisdom behind me and I know that life isn't always easy. This last part hasn't been the best for me, but now that I'm healthy and loved in my foster home, I just KNOW I'm ready to find the family that will love me for the rest of my doggy days!
