Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1/9/13 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED! /br>
ADOPTION FEE: $150
Fostered in Texas
Weight: 4 lbs.
Age: 11 years
12/14/12 - Chanel is a super easy baby. She sleeps a lot, but runs to foster mom when she calls her name, and dances around in the kitchen when it's mealtime. Her second favorite thing to do is snuggle and just hang out, her first is eating. When held close, she loves to give kisses.
She would love a "mom" that spoils and snuggles her nonstop. She is great with rides in the car,
Even though her eyesight is challenged, she has learned where the pee pads are in the house and has been using them at least 50% of the time. She does know what "no" means. She is a sweet little old lady that needs a retirement home and mom and dad.
11/13/12 - Let me start off by telling you that my first owner was killed in a car wreck 6 years ago. Myself and all my fursiblings were brought to the humane society since there was no one to take us. I was adopted quickly and truly loved my last owner, but her health, along with mine was causing problems and she knew that she needed to give me up so that I could get into a home where my medical needs could be addressed and someone would treat me as the diva that I’ve always been.
My name is Chanel. Seems I was named after Gabrielle "Coco" Bonheur Chanel, the French fashion designer who specializes in haute couture. So, please be aware that even though I’m a senior and even though my eye-sight isn’t what it used to be and even though I definitely don’t have a full set of teeth, I do adore the finer things in life.
I have tamed my snobbish attitude with age, but I still would like a mom and dad that will be ok with carrying me around or letting me sit in their laps A LOT. I do love the attention and I LOVE to give kisses. A couple licks on the right cheek and a couple on the left. You know, the way the French do it.
I recently went to the doggie opthalmologist and it seems that I have cataracts forming in both eyes. The one in the right eye is more developed and I can’t see out of it, but I do have partial vision in the left eye. I’m working on my potty training, and will go when brought out, just getting used to my new surroundings is hard on a senior when knowing where to go. If you are a senior like me, then maybe you’ll understand a mishap here and there. We all get old and things don’t work as well as they used to, but that doesn’t mean we have to be put out to pasture. (What a country saying, did that just come out of my mouth?...teehee)
I would do well as the only light of your life, or am content to share the spotlight with another pup that doesn’t expect me to roughhouse with it. Seriously, that would mess up my nails and hair and it’s not going to happen. I will play with my humans though and have a grand time moving about.
I’m just a sweet, stylish little senior that needs to be loved, paid a lot of attention to and I’ll be a happy yorkie.
