Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please note that Tiny Paws will be taking a break from adoption processing from December 17, 2012 through January 4, 2013. The holiday season is a very busy time of year with lots of hustle and bustle that can add extra stress to a dog’s transition to a new home. We also would like to give our hardworking volunteers time to enjoy the holiday season with friends and family. Thank you for your understanding.
Myla’s adoption fee is $350.
Myla is approximately 5 years old, and she weighs about 7 1/2 lbs. She’s up to date with her vaccines, spayed and micro chipped. I refer to Myla as a special needs girl, as she is very fearful of anything new, mostly people, and more so men. She could very well bite and snap at any newcomers in the home. In her own home environment with people and children that she has had the opportunity to get to know slowly, she is very loving and playful with everyone that has given her the opportunity and time to adapt. I have been using a small muzzle on her when someone new comes in which seems to calm her down. I ask visitors to ignore her and not approach her to give her the time to adjust and lessen the threat she may be feeling.
She is pee pad trained, and is crate trained during the day while her human is at work. Myla loves to go for walks, but she does get a little worried when other animals or people are approaching her. Myla is a very smart little girl who has learned many commands and loves to chase toys and play fetch till your arm drops from exhaustion. She does get along okay with the other small dogs in her foster home, although she will try to be the dominant one.
Myla will need a home with someone who is calm and has experience with dog training and dealing with trust issues. She is a very loving little girl when she has learned to trust her human, and is a great lap cuddler. Myla has so many wonderful aspects to her personality - she just needs patience and understanding of her fears, and someone who can help her adjust and feel at ease.
