Sybil was a breeder for the first 7 years of her life but those days are over. She is timid but very sweet and you can tell that she is wanting to be someone's special girl. Sybil is a beautiful chocolate smooth coat chihuahua. From her breeder days, she has a number 20 tatooed in her left ear - you can see it in the pictures. I think of it as her badge of courage. I took these pix quickly at an adoption event but will be posting better ones soon. She was a bit chunky at 7 1/2 pounds when she came to us but is doing well on her diet. They say that rescue dogs know that they are getting a second chance at life. I believe that. UPDATE: Sybil tried to live with a nice lady for a short time. We found out that if Sybil's mom is home all the time, she's fine but she does not like being left alone. Think about it, she has never, ever been by herself. She lived in a puppy mill for most of her life, then she came to rescue where she is in a multi dog household. She came to us with Sable. Sable seemed to do fine with Sybil gone but Sybil needs a buddy in her new home. If you think that you could give these two girls a chance together, why not drop us a line? They have made tremendous strides here. They are even both doing well with going potty on the wee wee pads. That's almost unheard of with puppy mill dogs. They are happy girls and I'd like to keep them that way by not separating them again. We'll make a nice deal on the adoption fee for both to go to the right home.
The adoption fee for Sybil is $200. Each of our dogs is up to date on all shots, including rabies, spayed or neutered, microchipped, fecal tested for internal parasites, treated if necessary, tested for heartworm, treated if necessary, on heartworm preventative and we also take care of dentals or any other medical needs they may have. With your dog, you will receive a health booklet detailing everything that we have done to be sure that they are in the best of health and all spiffed up to be your treasured pet.
