Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pssst...um...excuse me...down here! Hi, I'm Amie, and I am the mama to the Labor of Love puppies. Like theirs, my name means "beloved", and I am learning how to let people love me again. I think I had a family once, but something happened and I lost them. Maybe they didn't want a young, unwed mother around, I'm not sure. I was picked up as a stray just a few days before I gave birth to six adorable puppies. Then, when they were 5 days old we came to my foster home, where they gave me a room all to myself and my puppies and all the food I could eat! Even though I was really tired I watched carefully as foster mom moved all my babies to their new bed and then I fell asleep nursing them. That was back in May, and I have been blossoming here ever since. My puppies are growing up and are now too big to nurse (thank goodness, because those teeth are sharp!). I have been coming out of my shell little by little as time has gone on and I get braver every day. I give kisses now and dance for joy when foster mom and dad come home. I also am occasionally afflicted by....the zoomies! I race around the yard with my tail tucked under so far it makes a complete circle and I'm all legs going this way and that way and this way--can't catch me!! Whew, that was fun. Most of the time though, I am a really mellow girl. I love pressed rawhides and snoozing on the couch, and I'll show my belly to anyone who will rub it. I do have a taste for, um....treats out of the cat box. I can't help it, they leave those presents in there just for me, don'tcha know. My foster parents are working really hard to convince me that these are not proper snacks for a beagle. I'm small and I'm not a big barker, so I'd be great for an apartment or condo. I also have some shyness issues that my forever family will have to be willing to help me with. I need positive reassurance and lots of love. Foster mom says she thinks I would fit just about anywhere that is willing to work with me and love me forever. Does that sound like your house? If so, contact BREW today!
