If you’re looking for a dog with all the playfulness and fun of a puppy without having to deal with housetraining, chewing, and nipping then I’m your perfect match! I think that my name is just Dandee but my foster daddy calls me “Dandelion” and my foster mommy calls me “Funky Monkey” so I figure better safe than sorry and I just come running whenever someone talks to me regardless of what they call me! In fact getting snuggles from people is one of my favorite things to do and I will run from person to person making sure that everyone gets their chance to pet me! I also love playing with my foster brother- wrestling, chasing, barking at each other, you name it and I’ll play! As for small playmates without fur (I think mom called them kids)- you guessed it, I love them too. I will jump up to give kisses but I don’t mind the ear tugging, face smushing, toy grabbing parts- I’m just happy to have someone else to pet me! I love running around the yard too, especially if there are birds or squirrels around. I haven’t learned to bark at the squirrels and birds yet I just like to follow them around the yard to see if they’ll play with me! TV is great for bird watching too- I love to sit and watch the TV but I still haven’t figured out how to chase the things on the screen! As much as I LOVE zooming around the house and yard playing with everyone I do settle down really well for nap time too! I am totally crate trained and know that my crate is my spot for naps and when it’s time to go to bed (a girl needs her beauty rest after all!)

When I bark it is a full fledged beagle bark! I usually quiet down after a few minutes but an apartment probably still wouldn’t be a great fit since I have one heck of a bark when I decide to use it! Let’s see what else can I tell you about myself . . . . I love taking walks although like most of my beagle buddies I do prefer the zigzag route and think mommy looks pretty funny with my leash around her ankles! I also like to pretend I’m a cat and climb along the back of the sofa, under tables and between people’s legs as they’re walking- I guess that’s why mommy calls me funky monkey since I’m like a chimp jumping from perch to perch! Oh- and I almost forgot to mention I’m housetrained- I’m not sure why that’s a big deal but mommy said I should make sure to mention it to all the people reading this! Mom also says that I’m a great mix of high energy and quiet nap time and I’m pretty good at knowing when it’s time for play and when it’s time for a nap.

I’m so glad to be off the streets and in a foster home but what I’d like even more is to be in a forever home! My foster parents tell me a forever home is a place where people will love you and snuggle you and that you get to love them and snuggle them in return- that sounds like paradise to me.
