Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Brownie. Brownie is a pure bred Yorkshire Terrier with one of the best personalities his foster family has ever seen. Brownie is approximately 5 years old. He is neutered and recently had a dental so his teeth are sparkling white! He is Micro chipped. Brownie is a little guy weighing 6 pounds but is not fragile.
Brownie was rescued in August 2012 when a caring citizen called to say that he was running the streets in the San Fernando Valley when the temperatures rose to 107 degrees. The gal who found him did not want him to go to a shelter so she called the YTCA Rescue.
Brownie was taken immediately to the vet as his tummy was burned from the hot asphalt. He had an terrible infection with discharge and was missing a lot of his hair half way down his back & tail.
Brownie is now completely free from the infection, his tummy is nicely healed and with good food and coconut oil, his skin is healthy and his hair is grown back. Brownie is now ready to find his forever home.
This sweet boy loves to go on walks and he does not pull while in a harness & leash. He loves to play with toys and gathers them all up in his bed. He likes to play fetch with his stuffed animals and enjoys belly rubs and treats. He learned to sit for a treat and only barks when the gardener mows the lawn or the doorbell rings. Brownie is a very gentle dog and has a very compliant temperament. He enjoys the other Yorkies in his foster home but would do well as an only dog or with one other friend. He sleeps on his back with legs wide open surrounded with his toys and blanket. He is too cute!
Many people want a female dog because they have been told that all males mark territory. Brownie does not mark, but any dog may have an accident inside if not taken out to potty. Also, male dogs tend to be more loving and affectionate so I urge you to please open your hearts and your home to this amazing dog!
Brownie's adoption fee is $400.00 to cover the costs of his neuter, dental, micro chip and veterinary care. YTCA Rescue is a 501C3 non Profit organization.
