No picture. He/she would not come to the outside kennel. Just kept looking out the doggie door. Nervous.
Poor baby, needs a lap to rest on, not hard cement
The information is all I have on each animal. This AC does not give vaccines, deworming nor any type of medical attention.
Anyone who adopts/rescues an animal from Brunswick County Animal Control is responsible for the vetting/medical treatment of the animals.
The dogs at this animal control usually have 7days (sometimes a little longer) to be claimed by the owned, adopted or taken in by a rescue. Please act quickly.
Please contact: Brunswick County Animal Control at: 434-848-0912 if you can adopt/rescue any of the dogs.

There's not much I can offer for these dogs other than network them and help arrange transports (need volunteers). bevmenier@gmail.com, 804-727-4879 cell. Stray Haven is committed to animal welfare and massive spay/neuter, especially in the rural areas. If you'd like to help, contact me.
Problem: Very little outlet for these animals and no volunteers to help
Solution: Need volunteers to help with this animal control. Please see the list at the end of this email for solutions.
Vets in the area are listed below also for anyone needing their services re: vetting, boarding, etc. You will need to contact each vet to find out what they offer.
These pictures were taken after hours by me, Bev Menier, through two fences, except Kennel #7 (only one fence at that kennel).

Solutions: Volunteers Needed:
Photographers to help take pictures of the animals regularly
Webmasters to help post pictures on websites, facebook, etc
Camera needed: I take pictures w/my cell phone which won't let me send the pics to my email. I then send pics to someone's cell phone to email to me
Adopters/Rescuers/Fosters to get them out
Financial Sponsors to help pay for spay/neuter, vetting, other medical needs, health certificates, boarding, feeding, etc
Fundraisers for the expenses of the animals to get them a new start
Transporters who are willing to get them to safety
Karunda beds for each kennel at the AC (12 kennels total). Kennels are heat/AC, but dogs are on the concrete 24/7. The have indoor/outdoor kennels so the dogs have free access to go in/out with climb proof kennels which is great.
It takes a village to save a village and the Brunswick County animals need your help.
I am one, calling on others to help me accomplish this. Please contact me if you'd like to create a miracle: bevmenier@gmail.com 804-727-4879.
