My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mr. Tripp -
This boy (along with his brother Chipp) just loves people and dogs of all shapes and sizes.
We estimate that Tripp and his brother, Chipp, are somewhere between 7 and 11 months old.

These boys are currently in a foster home where they spend loads of time with two young boys, ages 10and 11....and both boys and dogs are in absolute heaven. These are what we call "kid dogs"...they think that children are just the greatest things in the world!

Tripp is approx 60 lbs now, he may grow to be about 70 lbs.

These are really great dogs, fun loving, non aggressive...just big eaters! They love playing in their baby pool and will sit beside it when it's dirty, waiting for it to be filled with clean water again.

Both boys are up to date with vaccines, rabies shots, heartworm preventative, frontline and are neutered.

Trip is the big brother and more outgoing than his brother Chipp who is more shy. They both love to be petted and just talked too. Tripp likes to chase anything and wants to play. They both love water and have a little swimming pool they get into when it is very hot.

The foster does not have cats so we have no idea how they would be around them.

They are big puppies ... very precious and loving.

Won't you give either both or at least one of these boys a home; we'd love to see them go together but of course will absolutely not pass up a wonderful home for either one and then just find the other one too!

The donation for these wonderful creatures is reduced, especially if you'll consider both!

We are comprised of a small group of volunteers from Delaware, New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.

For our dogs that are out of state, we try to promote adoptions based on trust that we will send you the most wonderful dog for you home; our foster situation is quite limited and thus it’s difficult for us to bring dogs here prior to finding a committed, forever home. We realize that adopting a dog sight unseen may seem like a stressful situation, but we truly do our very best to make sure that we make a great match for every dog and every family.

Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes all the way up the East Coast to New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures as well as realizing that although the vets treat our animals wonderfully, they cannot do this for free and thus our donations may be higher than a local shelter; we are not funded federally or by any state - we are a rescue, not a shelter.
