I am housetrained, up to date with shots, microchipped, and neutered. I am good with kids, good with dogs, and would do well in any family dynamic.
This dog is fostered in Franklin, WI
Breed/Age: Toby is a Lasha Apso Mix. He is about 3 years old.
Size: Toby is a gentle, yet energetic dog. He is a healthy weight – 17 lbs.
Activity Level: Toby is active, but he also likes quiet times. He wants to see what everyone is doing. Toby loves to take walks and can walk and run at quite a good clip. He can keep up with dogs much larger than he is.
Manners: Toby is housebroken. Either he goes to the front door, or if you don’t see him at the front door he will run over by his foster parents. Moreover, if still not noticed, he will jump up on a foster parents leg and then run over to the door where his leash is. We keep Toby on a pretty consistent schedule, because of our life and work schedule. He takes his treats very gently. Toby loves his treats and small, square rawhide chews.
Foster Family Observations: My first name is Toby – will my last name be your family last name? I would love to be with you. I have a sweet disposition. I get along well with children and adults alike. I am being fostered in a home that has no other dogs. I see other dogs on walks, and I would love to go over and play with them. I am very observant of squirrels, rabbits, birds and children’s voices. Noises, for example from vacuum cleaners, mowers, cars, trucks, or motorcycles do not bother me.
I have not had to go in a kennel. I have had free run in my foster parent’s house. I go to the bed my foster parents have for me. The only time I jump up is when I have to go potty. When my foster parents go to bed, I am quiet. I do sometimes lie on a rug beside the bed at night, especially when it is raining and thundering out. I love to meet people when they come to the house door or when my foster parents and I go for a walk.
Since I am a petite dog, I love to sit in my foster parents lap to be petted and held. I want to be with people all of the time. I like to play with small toys, a tug rope and tennis balls.
I am active when my foster parents are active. I like to sit when my foster parents sit or I lay next to the couch or chair. I also am allowed to come up and sit on my foster parents lap.
I would do well in nearly any family dynamic. However, as with any pet, I need to be monitored if my forever family has children.
Will you be my forever parent? I would love to go with a walk with you. You could take me to the Dog Park to play. Or, maybe just sit next to you and chew on a rawhide treat.
