My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's "Ziggy"! And what a little character he is! Alittle under 25 lbs. of energy and fun. About one yr. old, so in my book, still a puppy and he acts like one! Ziggy needs a very active home full of fun people and preferably with alot of kids, the more the better. I think Ziggy would thrive on the stimulation of all that crazy kid energy. If you have a pool, all the better! I think any children over the age of 6 would be fine. Under that age Ziggy may be too much for. I rescued the little boy from a very rural, high kill shelter in AL the day before they close to euthanize. A sad fact in our world today. Ziggy does not know how close he came to not being here, and that is a good thing. He came bounding off of transport happy and ready for the next adventure. Ziggy has no trauma from his shelter experience, as many do. He bonds quickly and easily to both men and women and is a fearless, brave little boy. He has an "On" switch that is go go go all day long with some rest periods. He crates beautifully at night for 8 hrs. He loves playing ball, disc, with his toys, chasing lizards, jumping in and out of the doggie pool, etc...etc...there is nothing Ziggy does not like. He is unafraid of thunderstorms. In fact he stands outside enjoying the rain. He is part duck. He would make a terrific playmate for active dogs, but not older sedentary dogs. They would be annoyed with his energy! He could be taught to exist with cats, but it might be difficult. He will want to play with them. Ziggy will definately need a Basic Obedience Class and any additional training and classes I think he would be an A student. He is incredibly smart and curious. He could be an Agility star, Flyball or Disc dog, or Dock Diving. The sky's the limit with him. When he is all played out he is a loving snuggle pup and enjoys his quiet couch time.

If you work long hours and want a dog to simply take walks with, Ziggy is not for you. If you are active with a Capitol A then Ziggy is the dog for you. If you have a pool, a boat or live on the water...he is perfect for you! Ziggy loves water.

If you feel you can offer my little Ziggy a great home then please contact me. His adoption fee is $175.
