Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kimiko, "empress child", is a 4 month old Red female Shiba mix puppy that we took in with her 9 littermates back in late August. We believe mom was a German Shepherd mix and that dad was the Shiba Inu or Shiba mix. She is currently about 25 pounds and we expect her to reach around 45 pounds.
Kimiko can be a bit independent compared to her siblings but plays when she feels like it. Let's face it,
she's named "empress" for a reason. But she is in a new foster home and playing more and more with her new buddy Violet, an American Eskimo. She is nervous of new dogs she doesn't recognize and will bark at first, especially if they are big so she needs a lot of positive socialization experiences. Her foster mom also lives next door to a Blood Hound and a Black Lab, both of which Kimiko does well with, so it just takes her a little time, and treats help too.
Kimiko is potty trained, has experience using a doggie door and goes right into her crate when her foster mom leaves or goes to bed for her meal. She does cry at first when her foster mom leaves so an apartment would probably not be a good idea. She is good with people and children and cats. She has worked on "sit" so much that it is her when in doubt go to move for attention, food, and treats. In all honesty she's probably the best behaved of all her siblings.
Their adoption fee is $350.00 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, all three sets of distemper vaccines, deworming, and a professional 6 week puppy training course.
