Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Update 09/04/12: Charlie, we decided, is not a Snorkie (schnauzer/yorkie-mix) but more of a yorkie/doxie/chihauhau-mix...ABSOLUTELY the cutest little boy!! He has big ears more like a Chihauha, Yorkie coloring, Doxie legs (he's low to the ground) and a long muzzle, and coarser fur that does shed some, if left to grow longer, which some Chi's have and wired-haired doxies. Either way...He is just TOO ADORABLE for WORDS!!!
Update 09/03/12: I am now fostering Charlie & Murphy. I picked them up from Allison on 08/31/2012. What SWEETIES & GOOD boys they are! They are bonded, and must be adopted together. Charlie was 3 in June, and Murphy will be 3, September 10, 2012.
They are great with other dogs, and they both have been playing with mine! They are good with children, but it will take Murphy some time to adjust. He is somewhat timid, and you need to take things slow with him. Cats are a NO!
Charlie & Murphy are both Housetrained, Crate Trained, & Leash Trained. Neither have had any obedience training or know any tricks, but they are good, and do listen. I am working with them.
I'm in WI, but go to Arizona often, so if this duo is a perfect fit for you...Please fill out an adoption application.
Initial Bio 07/31/12: Meet Charlie...the newest kid on the UYR block. Charlie is a Snorkie (Yorkie + Miniature Schnauzer) who just turned 3 years old in June. He has a Yorkie face and a Schnauzer coat, which is hard and wiry on the top, but soft on the belly. Charlie has a very sweet disposition. He is a happy boy who is loving and likes to give kisses. He also enjoys cuddling and being pet. He gets along with other dogs (not sure about cats) and does not mind children. Charlie is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, and weighs 7 pounds. He is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained! A fenced in backyard would be ideal. He came to UYR with his pal Murphy. The two boys are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Their previous owner is in the military and is being stationed in Japan for the next 2 years. Her family was helping her care for the boys, but they are no longer able to do it. Charlie and Murphy would be a great addition to a family who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
