Here's what the humans have to say about me:
12 Yr old Holly arrived at our shelter August 7th 2012. She was quite a mess. Her owner had died of cancer and due to his deteriorating health, she suffered neglect. Her toenails were so long that they actually spiraled out from her feet. She was very thin, only 36 lbs, but we have managed to put some weight back on her. Her matted coat was washed and we had her groomed. She was looking and feeling better already in just a few short days here.
The first week Holly was here was tough on her. She would hide in any corner and would squish herself into the smallest spaces trying to hide from the world. She was so shy. A month later we are seeing who Holly really is. She has so much more life to her now. She rooms with Bubba the Basset Hound and Ralphie the Jack Russel/Poodle mix and Scooter the Papillon/Chihuahua mix. They have been a big help in getting Holly to open up and relax. She enjoys getting petted and massaged and loves spending time out in the sun.
Holly is looking for a nice quiet home to spend the rest of her days in. Please call Barbara to arrange a visit to meet with this sweet girl. After all she has been through, she really deserves to spend her last years in wonderful loving home. Could that home be yours?
