Fostered in Raleigh NC.
Peaches has a sad typical story. Boy meets girl, they move in together....they get a cute white and tan puppy, they break up and move out. He's already got a dog, she's moving in with family, besides, she doesn't like other dogs so .....where does she go....the shelter. Peaches didn't go to the shelter, she's safe in foster care now and the dog that didn't like other animals, she's just insecure. She wasn't property taught when a puppy, she doesn't know what to do when she meets another dog but she's learning. She's living with several other dogs and doing great. She tends to meet other dogs by throwing herself on her back though. And as far as cats go, now that she's figured out the hairy little aliens aren't going to kill her in her sleep, she lets them groom her. She's a sweet dog, very rock solid with people, good with kids and now with her developing social skills, much better with other dogs and great with cats.
She's house broken and crate trained, fully vetted including microchip and spay. We really don't know her mix. She's a beautiful dog, tall and slim. She's got long legs and is about 20" at the shoulder, she's slim at 55 lbs and could stand to fill out at least another 5 lbs. We think she's part American Bulldog mixed with some smaller, more slender breed. She's kind of built like a smaller greyhound. Beautiful gold eyes.
Despite being mostly white she appears to have no skin issues, she was being fed pedigree but we have changed that to Biljac. There is no adoption fee for Peaches, we just want her in a loving home that will keep her forever. She's young so that will be the next 14 years or so! We were also told that she can jump a 4 foot fence but she's being fostered in a home with a 4 foot fence and she has not jumped out. She could probably use a 5-6 foot fence or a town home where she will be walked on leash.
Peaches is not a terribly active dog, more lazy with spurts of energy. She has a tendency to pout like a bulldog when she's reprimanded. She's a good girl. Because she's a girl and still young, we would like her to go to a home as an only dog or with a male dog. Same gender dogs sometimes have problems when they are all grown up so we'd like to avoid that if possible. Again, there is no adoption fee but there will be an adoption contract.

Peaches is a sweet dog, she’s house broken, crate trained and microchipped. She’s fully vetted. She’s geting a basic obedience tune up as she has never really been trained but her lessons are coming along nicely. Pets are not gifts! We are upset that we were mislead during the adoption process and home visit. Pets are not gifts and they are a lifetime commitment. If you can’t make a commitment for 15 years - do not get a dog!

Please keep in mind that we are a foster based rescue only. There is no facility where these dogs can be visited prior to application approval as they are all in private homes. This is for both the safety of our foster homes and our dogs. Please take a minute to fill out the adoption application if you are interested in one of our dogs. We also do not place our pit bulls in homes with dogs of the same gender. We adopt as single dogs or to homes with dogs of the opposite gender only. We appreciate breed experience.
