My story

Handsome, happy Pongo is looking for that special home that understands a 9-year-old dog isn't ready for retirement -- in fact for cattle dogs it' s middle-aged -- their average life expectancy is around 16 years. Pongo is always ready for a game of ball; he likes to go for shorter walks than the youngsters and he's always ready with a snuggle. Pongo has a gorgeous full tail and when he gets his weight down & that trim, boyish figure back, he'll be around 50 lb. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home; does well with the cats and *loves* his people -- he gives meaning to "velcro dog." He also walks well on leash and enjoys riding in the car. His foster family has not had him near children, but he does whine & wag his tail when he sees them. This handsome, loving boy is just waiting to bring some sunshine into your life. Pongo is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. Before adding a cattle dog to your home, please research this breed -- we'll be happy to recommend some places to start. Only homes with fully and securely fenced yards. Adoption fee $125
