My story

"RONA" -- Is 10 months old, black-and-tan, possibly a Border Collie cross or an English Shepherd. She was turned in to a shelter by her owners.

She has a great temperament and herding instinct--in fact, the Animal Control Officer used her to herd the dogs that tried to escape, and she was reputed to be good at it!

She is very energetic and loves to play with other dogs. Rona was good with children in her former home, and is interested in cats, but seems ok with them so far. She also loves water, and has a great time splashing and running through it. She rode well in the car in a crate, making a little noise at first but settling down to de-stuff a soft toy.

She knows a few commands and loves attention, so training should go well. Rona is housebroken, up to date on shots and will be spayed before placement. Obedience class will be a requirement of her adoption.

You MUST first fill out an adoption application AND have a home visit BEFORE being considered for any NEBCR dog. As this process can take time, we recommend that you complete these first 2 steps BEFORE inquiring about a specific dog.
