Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 09/16/2012: Scooter is an adorable 5 year old 11.9 lb male yorkie who is a happy, happy boy; he is being fostered in The Villages, FL. Here’s what Scooter had to say recently while chatting with his foster mom:
Hi everyone, it's me, Scooter. I know, I know, you almost didn't recognize me and that's ‘cause I had a day at the Doggie Spa - don't I look handsome (altho FM calls me ‘pretty’ – ain’t that word for girlies?) from every angle? I am a very good boy. I am house-trained and that must be a B-I-G thing, huh? I’m also leash-trained – aren’t I smart? I will bark every time I need to go out and my FM or FD takes me outside so I can do my business. No accidents here, no-siree. I love riding in the car, and especially riding in the golf cart. FD took us (me and my foster brother, Frankie) to the dog park where I met lots of friends and I could run and run. I just loved it. I do get lots of love here, but I know I can't stay here furever 'cause there are so many other guys and girls who need homes or something bad might happen to them. I would kinda like being the only dog so that I would get all the attention – I’m kinda an attention hog FM says. So, would you consider making me your furever little guy. I promise I'll be really, really good and follow you wherever you go. I’m handsome and I’m very loyal to those I love. What do you say? Wanna give me a forever home? I promise I’ll be the goodest and smartest little doggie you’ve ever had!

UPDATED BIO 08/22/2012: Scooter is an adorable 5 year old 11.9 lb male yorkie who is a happy happy boy; he is being fostered in The Villages, FL. Here’s what Scooter had to say recently when questioned by his Foster Mom:
Hi Folks, it’s me - Scooter. Wow, what a time I’ve been having. At first I was very lonely being with strangers, but that changed pretty quickly. My new Foster Mom and Foster Dad and FB (foster brothers) are really great. They made me very comfortable, they feed me good stuff and take me for walks and throw balls for me. I was really getting used to this new environment and then, one day, it happened. I lost my “manliness”…ouch! But, that was a couple of weeks ago, and now I’m feeling good -- wahoo!! I’m really a good boy in the house ‘cause I bark and bark to let everybody know when I’ve gotta go out – really smart, huh? My FD takes me for a nice walk, I do my business and then proceed to investigate everything I see. When we get back home, FM always gives me a treat. I always run right to her ‘cause I know what’s coming.
I like playing with my Foster Brothers, but, quite frankly, I think I’d rather be the Head Honcho. There’s this little FB who gets a lot of the attention (his name is Karma, what the heck kinda name is that??), and before he came here, I was getting all the hugs & kisses. My other FB is older and lives here all the time, so he doesn’t mind sharing the attention. Maybe when I get older, I’ll be like him. The one thing I don’t like is what they call ‘’thunder and lightning’’ – holy cow, there’s a lot of that in Florida. I usually run into FM & FD’s bedroom and then FM usually comes and hugs me until all that noise stops. I’m told I’m a handsome guy and I’m very loyal to those I love. What do you say? Wanna give me a forever home? I promise I’ll be the goodest and smartest little doggie you’ve ever had!
UPDATED BIO 07/31/2012: Scooter is an adorable 5 year old 11.9 lb male yorkie who is a happy happy boy; he is being fostered in The Villages, FL. His foster parents are working with him on leash-training and he is now willing to be walked, instead of walking them, lol! He still tries to pull on the leash, but he is getting much better – what a good boy – he loves to go on walks and is anxious to see what is going on in the neighborhood! Scooter is completely house-trained and crate-trained, as well – and what a smart boy he is, too! He has an overbite which gives him soooo much character and makes him appear to be smiling all the time. He still likes to alert his people when the doorbell is ringing, but he is getting better about that, and is very happy to meet new people; at first, he was untrusting of new people, but he has built trust in his foster home and is now happy to make new friends. He and the resident yorkie, Frankie, get along just fine; the perfect home for Scooter would be one in which he is either the only dog in the home, or he would also be happy having another doggie companion close to his size and age to play with. He loves to run and play and we think he would also do well in a home with older children (age 12 or older) to play with.
Scooter also likes to chase a ball and play with his favorite toy duckie. He alerts his foster parents when he needs to go out, and if it’s in the middle of the night, he wakes FM up by giving her kisses until she gets up and takes him out – oh, what a sweetie he is. Scooter will be having his neuter and dental on 08/03 and will be ready to go to his forever home. Scooter also loves to cuddle – FM says he just the perfect little man! Would your home be the perfect one for Scooter?
INITIAL BIO 06/28/2012: Scooter here! I'm a rough and tuff type of guy. I'm the biggest in FM home, and she is guessing I am 12 pounds (and yes that is a normal weight for me). My teeth are pretty good. I do have an over bite (it gives me character!). Right now I am lifting my leg a little (but FM knows little boys like me tend to do that when they get to a new place.... I bet my nooter will help me with that!) I am very much full of energy, to the point that FM is afraid I may bolt out the door. So a very secure fence will be required. I'm not mean at all, but everyone is scared of me. I think it is because I am sooo much bigger than they are (hehe), but Charlie (the smallest) isn't skeered. I do bark at noises (probably no condos for me). I try to take my human for a walk. I am so strong! Obviously, nobody has taught me puppy manners. My family decided that my former situation was not the best for me, and they decided to come to UYR to find me the perfect FURever family! I came all nice and shiny and had a nice bath!
