My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments.
Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the pet or ask questions first. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at humaneswa@yahoo.com!

This majestic, statuesque lady is Diana, a gorgeous long-haired white adult cat. Diana is about 2 to 3 years old, a young adult. She's a quiet and gentle lady who loves being a social butterfly! Diane is quiet and gentle but very social and friendly, so she'd love to be in a family where she can be a part of your life and be with you every day.

When Diana was first rescued, she tested positive for heartworms. Diana is very lucky, though, because it was a small case that isn't affecting her health. Diana's condition has only improved, and is not life-threatening. While being monitored routinely by her vet, we now know the condition will safely pass through her system without harm. Unlike dogs, one heartworm is rarely ever a major health problem for a cat, and the life span of heartworms is merely 1-3 years. The worm will not replicate, and will naturally pass through her system.

Diana is in need of a home with love and friendship and a second chance at a life that could use a brighter side. Could that be where you come in? Stop in at our cat adoption center during our open hours or contact us to schedule an appointment when you're available! Please read below for our adoption info!
