Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Max is looking for a home. Being homeless in Phoenix is a difficult life. Lucky for Max, someone took him in and promised to find him a new home.
1. Male, has all shots, clean bill of health
2. About 1.5 years old
3. All black
4. He is still a kitten, likes to jump on other cats
5. Will do better with a cat his age, a dog or the only cat
6. Max is loveable, cuddly, likes to play under the blankets, very curious, follows you like a dog, likes the movement of water
Max is a courtesy post. If you'd like to meet him, please call 480.720.2680.
Decisions matching this animal with potential adopter(s) are solely the discretion of the guardian. ALF takes no responsibility for the suitability of the match. We are unable to accept this animal back if the adopter is unable to keep it. All agreements are between the adopter and the guardian. If the guardian will not accept a return, we will offer a subsequent courtesy post provided that diligent attempts were made to negotiate with the guardian for return of this animal, and that all courtesy post requirements are met on subsequent requests.
We typically adopt within the Phoenix metropolitan area. If you are out of the area, we recommend searching Petfinder for a pet waiting in a shelter near you, by clicking here.
All of our animals are homeless when they come to us. We don't know their history or pedigree. Breed and descriptions are our best guess, based on appearance and sometimes personality traits. We cannot guarantee their information.
If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider making a donation to help us continue to care for cats such as this one. We do not recover any costs associated with spaying and neutering, and often treating illness or injury, and the lifelong feeding of many other cats who are not as lucky as this one. Click here to make a donation to ALF.
Thank you for your interest in helping homeless animals.
