Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 7/16/12- Rex has been in his NJ foster home for 3 weeks. he has been neutered. What a fantastic boy!He just absolutely loves people and has played with a female foster in his foster home and totally enjoys himself. He is crate trained, house trained and is not a chewer. he is even more handsome than his pictures, if that's possible! He is in search of a home with an existing female so that he can romp and play. (his complete story/contact information is below). If interested in meeting this gem of a boxer, please go to our website:www.fassasfriendsboxerrescue.com and complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION found under the Adoption tab.
Let us introduce Fassa’s Friend, Rex. Rex is a beautiful flashy fawn, purebred male boxer. He is roughly 1-2 years old and weighs in at 67 lbs. Rex has had a difficult beginning. He has a scar along his back where, according to the vet, he was intentionally burned with a chemical. Rex’s burn had healed nicely. Now, there is the possibility that his fur will not grow in to cover his scar. In that event, when Rex is in the sun for any length of time, simply applying sunblock to that area will be necessary. It is no more difficult than applying sunblock to your yourself or children and we’ve all done that! This attrocious act of cruelty has not dampened his spirit or activity level. Rex has a zest for life. He goes to doggy daycare and from the pics, you’ll see just how much he enjoys canine companionship. He also is great with children. Rex is current on his vaccines.
Rex enjoys romping in the yard. For this reason a fenced in yard is required for Rex. Rex does occassionally pull on a leash, therefore will need some direction learning how to walk nicely on a leash. We also require a home with another dog for Rex because he is so dog friendly and is extremely happy hanging with other canines.
