My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vanessa is a sweet one year old Lab/Greyhound mix. At just 37 lbs, she's just a little bit of a thing and, while a couple more pounds wouldn't be a bad thing, she'll not likely be much bigger. She's a sweet girl that just needs someone's arms around her. We'll be adding more information as we learn more about her...

Vanessa is currently in a vet clinic in Memphis, TN...we are part of a network of rescues that work to help alleviate the homeless pet population in that area. Our dogs come from a high-kill shelter, that prior to rescue help, had a more than 80% euthanization rate. Once the dogs are pulled from the shelter, they are taken straight to our vet clinic, where they are thoroughly examined, vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered, and boarded until an approved forever home is found. Once we have a committed adopter, we make arrangements to have them brought to our area via professional rescue transport. We realize that adopting a dog sight unseen can seem like a stressful experience, but we do our very best to match each dog with the right family...and we have well over 200 happy and satisfied adoptive families to prove it!
