Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 10/13/12: UPDATED BIO 10/10/2012: Manny is 5 years old and weighs 6 lbs; he is being fostered in Suwanee, GA.
Manny is a little character and wanted to update you on his progress – here’s what he had to say recently:
BOO!! Did I scare you? Hehehe! Hello, I’m Manny and my Foster Dad says I’m full of loving mischief which is why I’m a dapper pirate for Halloween this year. FD says it’s loving mischief because I’m never really bad, but I’ve got a twinkle in my eye. I say it’s because of all the love and affection I’ve got stored up and ready to give my new forever parents, whoever they may be. I’ve been with Foster Dad now for a while and he says someday soon my forever parents will find me and take me home. FD says the sooner the better because he is growing way too attached to me. I sorta like him too. but I would like to focus all my love and attention on my forever person(s). I’m still doing my parades around the sofa and coffee table but I’ve got a lot of energy to burn since I have to spend so much time in a crate. I am in a crate away from the other dogs because I just can’t get along with all of them. I do like my Foster sister Missy and FD’s forever dog, Preston, and I don’t know why I can’t get along with the other boys, Teak and Henry. FD doesn’t understand either and says it breaks his heart to keep me separated from the rest of the gang. FD has taken me out on walks to the Farmer’s Mand the flea market and says I was perfect; I did get lots of compliments from all the people we met. I didn’t buy any farmers or fleas, though, but then I don’t have pockets so I don’t even know where I would keep my money, haha! Please consider me for your Forever Boy – I have sooo much loving to give to you!

UPDATED BIO 08/14/2012: Manny is 5 years old and weighs 6 lbs; he is being fostered in Suwanee, GA. Foster Dad calls Manny a real trooper; he did not have regular dental care in his prior home and as a result, when Manny did have his dental, there were 11 teeth that needed to be extracted – ouch! He recuperated quickly and is eating and acting as if nothing out of the ordinary occurred. Manny is indifferent to children, but he wants to be the center of attention and will get jealous if FD directs attention to another dog. For this reason, Manny must be the only dog in the home. He has a strong desire to please, and with lots of patience, love and determination, he can be trained to do most anything. His desire to please his person, however, often conflicts with his terrier nature. Manny has not been cat-tested, except for a brief encounter outside the home on neutral territory where he appeared to be indifferent. Manny does not get along with his older yorkie foster brother, and as a result, has to spend too much time away from his people and separated from the rest of the pack. However, he does get along very well with his foster sister, Missy (FD calls her Missy Poppins because she is practically perfect in every way!), and they have developed a playful and affectionate relationship - so sweet for both of them. Foster Dad is hopeful that maybe they could be adopted together since they have developed such a bond while in the foster home.
Here’s what Manny had to say recently:
Yo! Manny here – my FD has lots of nicknames for me and I answer to all of them. He calls me Manninkins, Manny-Bird, Manfred and of course, Manny. He says sometimes I seem to have the energy of a hummingbird! I am a Yorkie after all and there are so many things to see and do. I am working very hard to learn where and when to potty and I’m very proud when I get it right. FD feels that one day I may not have to wear a belly-band, but that I need lots more practice. I love my FD and want him to pay attention to me above everything else. It’s nice to feel safe and secure here at my foster home, but I do want to have a forever home. I promise I’ll do everything I can to be your pride and joy! My FD says that I can’t help but become somebody’s special companion and that he likes the way I smile at him, even if do have a few less teeth now. I love walks and also love to play fetch and am very proud of my toys, which I take on a nightly parade around the house. Toys need exercise too! Do you have room for me in your home? I’m a little guy so I don’t need too much room…………..think about it, ‘kay?
UPDATED BIO 06/23/2012: Manny is 5 years old and weighs 6 lbs; he is being fostered in Suwanee, GA. Foster Dad says that Manny is a dear little love- bug who has bonded with him whole-heartedly. However, Manny desperately wants to be the sole focus of attention in the home. House-training is coming along slowly, and FD is continuing to work with Manny's circling issues, which he tends to do when stressed. He is engaging him in lots of exercise to break the manic circling; and since he loves to play 'fetch', that seems to break him out of the circling cycle. Manny has sensitive paws and hates the hot pavement (who wouldn't, lol!), so FD & Manny do a lot of indoor activities to burn off his excessive amount of energy. He is learning to 'sit' on command and loves loves loves belly rubs; he will lay his head on your chest and listen to your heartbeat while he falls asleep - soooo sweet! Manny will make a loving companion to someone who is patient and completely devoted to him. PLEASE NOTE: Manny has let us know that he wants to be the only four-legged animal in the home!

UPDATED BIO 06/10/2012: Manny is 5 years old and weighs just under 6 pounds.
He is being fostered in Suwanee, GA. His crate-training issues seems to have been caused by Manny having an infection, which has been treated and crate etiquette now seems to no longer be a concern.
Manny and Foster Dad have been bonding because if he’s not in his lap or on his desk he (yes, he said ON his desk), he circles and flits around like a hummingbird annoying everyone in the house. He and the male Yorkie in the home, Henry, have had several altercations due to Manny's flitting about from here to there, and now Henry is pouting, so they are never on the floor at the same time. Foster Dads are trying to pamper Henry so he knows he is not being replaced by Manny. Read more about Manny below...............
INITIAL BIO 06/04/2012: MEET MANNY! He is 5 years old and weighs 6 lbs; Manny is being fostered in Suwanee, GA. Manny was surrendered by his owner because of life circumstances beyond her control and she wanted him to have a home where he was able to receive more attention and discipline. Manny was bred in Hungary to be a show dog and has shown on the show circuit previously, but not in the recent past. Foster Dad says that Manny is definitely “all boy”. He needs a home where he can be the center of attention. He seems to know that he is royalty and thinks he deserves to be treated as such. When treated like the prince he thinks he is, he will be a constant and loving companion.
Manny can be very nervous in new situations and around young people; and he certainly does not want to share the spotlight with another male; so he can only be placed in a home with one other female, close to his size and age. Manny has no clue what being house-trained means; he is currently trying to understand that he has to potty outside and, for now, he wears a belly band and needs a patient owner to help him learn where it is and is not appropriate to go. Manny loves to take walks and even though he gets a lot of exercise following his ‘person’ around, he likes to see what is going on outside and is very good on his leash. The previous owner said that Manny is crate-trained; however, Foster Dad hasn’t yet seen this and Manny can make quite a mess in his crate when left alone.
Manny needs to be in a home where he will receive lots of love and attention and where he can be put on a consistent and regular schedule of going outside. He doesn’t seem to know ‘boundaries’ and appears to have the idea that he is the ‘boss’ of everybody and everything right now. He now comes to his foster parents to sit by them – begging for attention. He seems to be a nervous little dog and when he gets nervous, he is in the habit of circling – large circles like he is being shown in a show ring, over and over again. The circling has gotten better, however, and FD has learned that all that is needed to calm Manny is to put him in your lap, belly up – and give him lots of bellyrubs – ahhhhh! Manny still needs to learns proper doggie manners, and is doing well with this. He is learning how to be a beloved companion dog.
PLEASE NOTE: Because of Manny’s size, he can only be placed in an adult home, no children under the age of 14 years old.
