Hi, I'm Wayne and I was born some time in 2008.
I was hanging out around Mangiamo's in Grand Rapids scrounging for food for awhile before I was discovered. The workers were feeding me and caring for me as best as they could, but it was not the best situation for me. There were too many strangers nearby and the traffic was dangerous. Kolene, a volunteer with Carol's Ferals, heard about my situation and came to my rescue. She trapped me and brought me in to be fixed. Since I'm a friendly boy, Carol added me to the Adoption Program.
At first, I was really shy and tried to hide all the time because there are so many other cats here and there's so much activity. However, I am no longer as scared and I will come out to meet new people on my own. In fact, I am usually one of the first to investigate new people. I adore attention and love to occupy your lap if you let me. I am not big on other cats but I will tolerate them as long as they don't get in my way and as long as I have a place to go that gives me space. Really, I just really want a home of my own so please give me a chance.
