Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brooks is as sweet and loving as any dog I have met. It is obvious that he didn't have alot of love or affection in his world before but it's not due to anything HE is lacking. He will be excited to see us and I will pick him up and he lays back in my arms like a
baby-perfectly calm and looking like he is in heaven (his celebrating stops as soon as I pick him up as he soaks in every second of love!). If you get down on one knee he will put his front paws on your knee and bury his head in your neck or your body- he LOVES love! He gets along great with all the dogs from the biggest (135 lbs) to the smallest (2.2 lbs) and will play with all of them but, when food is first poured in their bowls, he won't let any others near the bowl until he is finished eating (he will growl but I've never seen it go past that.He obviously had been starved when we first got him so he understandably makes sure he gets to eat). He walks well on a leash and loves to explore and go for walks but once in a while he will get a scent and when he gets locked on a scent, he doesn't see or hear or smell anything else. His little tail starts wagging furiously and with his nose to the ground he wants desperately to follow the trail and it is almost like he is in a trance (it is the only time he doesn't respond to his name or anything else). He is a beautiful little dog (I would guess approx 25 pounds) but I don't think the pictures do him justice. He has a beautiful coat and eyes and gleaming white teeth. He has only been in the car a few times and they were to go get shots, etc. but he rode well and
seemed to enjoy it. The only thing I'm really not sure of is whether he is housebroken (I would guess not as he has been outside with us (we have 11
outside and 2 inside) and his previous owners didn't care enough to feed him so I don't imagine they house trained him. I would love SO much for him
to find somebody to give him INDIVIDUAL love, somebody he could be a companion with. I know he would repay you with all he has to give for as
long as he lives.
Brooks is being fostered in Knoxville, TN and will be transported via PETS LLC transport service once a family has been found for him. All dogs receive monthly heartworm and flea treatment while in foster care. Prior to being transported, Brooks will have one more visit to his vet to get a health certificate.
All of our dogs are micro chipped and registered to the adoptive family.
Brooks adoption and transportation fee is $300.00. This will not in any way cover all of the expenses we have incurred in his care, any additional monies in the form of a donation will be appreciated. Friends Fur Life is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
If you are interested in making Brooks a member of your family, please email us at FRIENDSFURLIFENE@VERIZON.NET or CRHUNTLEY@HOTMAIL.COM . You may also call Renee at 865 705 7711 or Tim at 423-566-8954 and they can answer your questions or email you an adoption application. Please consider your life style before taking in a new family member. Remember these guys live to be with you so please make sure you have time to love them and provide the attention they so desperately want.
