Sugar was found on a highway, running in the rain. She was easily captured and found to be so matted that her rescuer couldn't feel through her coat to her skin. The nice lady took Sugar to a local pet supply store and there was a groomer there who so kindly offered to shave the mats off of this little girl. She got a new 'do and was turned into rescue. At her first vet visit the next day, we found that Sugar had a mouth full of rotten teeth and a broken jaw. After an extensive dental, she now has only one tooth left but it is as shiny and white as can be! Sugar is still recovering from her dental and we're keeping an eye on that jaw so is not yet available for adoption but I just wanted to let you know that she's here. If you've been thinking of getting a sweet little lap dog, keep an eye on Sugar. We aren't sure of her age but I'd guess around 6 - 8 years old and she weighs about 8 pounds. I've not caught her going potty where she's not supposed to and she adores being with you. I think that Sugar would do well in a quiet environment.
The adoption fee for Sugar is $200. Each of our dogs is up to date on all shots, including rabies, spayed or neutered, microchipped, fecal tested for internal parasites, treated if necessary, tested for heartworm, treated if necessary, on heartworm preventative and we also take care of dentals or any other medical needs they may have. With your dog, you will receive a health booklet detailing everything that we have done to be sure that they are in the best of health and all spiffed up to be your treasured pet.
