lHe lived in outside kennel all winter. We think he was house trained some when he arrived, as he would not potty in his kennel and waited to be outside. He is very good with other dogs and is more submissive to other dogs. He will just lay down and roll over. He is about 75 to 85 lbs, very puppy like and clumsy He is very friendly and semi leash trained. We do not think he will be good with kids as he is so clumsy he will knock them over. He had been with mature adults, but is very trainable. We will screen any adopters and find out if their city allows pit bulls before an adoption. He is young and very energenic.
He weighs about 75 lbs and is white and fawn/red in color and about 1 years young. Sam is being fostered by the farmers in Deerfield OH area. Sam's adoption fee is $150 it includes a written veterinary exam, Neuter In addition a prepaid Microchip registeration. PLUS an annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. Once we find an approve adopter, we will need one week to finish his vetting as stated here. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party. In season our rescues have had flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
We send you home with a copy of all the vet work, adoption paperwork and tips. Our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills.
WE DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS YOU MUST DRIVE TO THE FOSTER HOME TO MEET THE DOG AND BOND TO ADOPT. You must fill out our on line application to schedule a meet and great with the foster dog. We cannot hold more than 2 weeks from notifying you approved to complete the adoption or we require a non refundable deposit to hold the dog a short time longer. We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (>$60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; SMALL DOGS CAN NOT BE TIED OUT. .
Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them, potty pad train them and use exercise pens for outside and work on potty skills. Dogs learn quickly and are pretty far along. But expect some accidents at lst until they know the routine at your place.
Our dogs are fostered in private homes in OH and MI and PA. We are not a shelter you will need an approved application and an appointment to meet our rescue dogs.
