Rawhide Rescue has successfully adopted over 350 pit bulls and pit bull mixes into families since 2001. All of our dogs are fully temperament tested, neutered and properly socialized. We would be happy to answer any questions about if your home is the right home for a pit or pit mix, or any of our dogs, and to talk you through the controversy surrounding one of our favorite breeds.
Happy go-lucky, friendly and active, here is Woody. A recent arrival from a local kill shelter, Woody is beginning to enjoy life. Although a bit fearful in his run behind the fence at first, he is now getting the drift of it. People are fun! He is a very fun playmate and retrieves and returns any toy you'd like to throw for him. He surrenders his prize easily and then waits for the process to be repeated. He even bucks and puts his head between his front hooves (sorry, paws) to really show how happy he is.
Woody seems to really hold out until he is let out to do his business so we think someone took the time to housebreak him.
We think Woody is somewhere between 1 and 2, he is up to date on all shots, has been dewormed and is already neutered. The light URI that arrived with him, is now at bay and Woody is ready to find a home. If you have pit experience and love the breed as we do, you will love meeting this boy.
