CRICKET IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE RICHMOND, VA AREA.

Cricket is a 16 month old Black Lab/Boxer or Bulldog mix with a personality all her own. She has some insecurity issues and gets nervous in new situations and around new people, but we are working on that and she is doing well. Once she does feel safe and secure with you look out because she will give you lots kisses and lay all over you to let you know she wants to be near you. She is a leaner for sure. Cricket is very playful; she loves her toys, especially squeaky balls and loves going for long walks or even a short jog with her people.

She is very devoted to her people, but like a typical kid will try and see what she can get away with. She needs a strong, secure pack leader/dog owner with a soft hand and lots of love and patience to give. She has a look that will melt your heart and an under-bite that can’t help but bring a smile on your face. She is housebroken and knows basic commands like sit, shake, stay, walks pretty well on a leash, especially with a gentle leader and is very trainable. She wants to please.

Cricket’s ideal home would be one that is active but calm and easygoing, small children and too many people tend to make her nervous and uncertain, and she would love to be the only dog (to get all of the affection) or a companion to a submissive, non-threatening male dog. She has two foster brothers now and has had several before that she loves to play with and cuddle with. She is a softy at heart.

Cricket is truly a wonderful, special girl who is looking for that special person that will open up their heart and home to her. She so wants a person of her own to love 24/7, someone that won’t mind if she isn’t a dog park dog, someone that can see all the wonderful things she is and will continue to help bring out the best in her everyday.
